Sugar Moon Express aka "Martha" has been named the 2008 AQHA Barrel Racing horse of the year! Lindsay and Martha truly deserve this award as they have had a fairy tale year! We will  have an As Good As Nick Gets booth this year at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo located at the The Sands Expo at the Cowboy Christmas convention. Dr. lee Prowse, whom breeds Nick will be on hand to visit or answer any questions as well as my mom Cindy Gayle, my self, and Lindsay Sears will sign autographs and have her new saddle line on display! We will award SIX FULLY TOOLED OSTRICH SEAT SADDLES to anyone who has purchased a breeding to Nick since I have owned him or to anyone who purchases a 2009 breeding before Dec. 14th, 2008. Your name will go into a drawing for one of these awesome saddles! We hope to see you there and look forward to visiting with everyone.

EXCITING NEWS.....
Cheyenne Kelly from Hallettsville, Texas has purchased the 2008 colt Nicks Dashin Flirt (pending). The fifteen year old  has been involved in barrel racing for a few years now and is greatly progressing, as she has already accomplished many goals and will continue to do so.Cheyenne bought Flirt when he was six months old and has halter broke him all herself without any assistance. I am very excited about this little team as I have raised the colt and Cheyenne  has become a special friend. NFR qualifier and futurity standout Lisa Ogden of Gail, Texas has purchased Slicky Nicky (pending). This is a 2008 filly out of Nick and an own daughter of One Slick One. I am very thrilled for Lisa to have this filly as she is the person who found the dam of this colt. I had been looking for a One Slick One broodmare who had a proven record and Lisa knew of her and secondly Lisa has been very successful with the One Slick One bloodline and we are excited to see the outcome of this cross. On the update of Dena's clinic, we have had to reschedule for a different date as Dena had to go to Australia for four clinics. I will let you know when these are scheduled. If you are attending the 2008 WNFR in Las Vegas, please visit our booth. Lindsay Sears will be there signing autographs and if you purchase a 2009 breeding your name will be placed in a drawing for five fully tooled saddles newly endorsed by Dena Kirkpatrick made by Martin Saddlery and one saddle is the new Lindsay Sears saddle by Shiloh Saddlery. Nick Comes Home!!!
Breeding season is officially over and Nick came home last week to start getting ready to run.Thank you to everyone for a great breeding season. The 2009 foal crop should be amazing as some of the greatest mares in the barrel racing industry are expecting Nick babies.  Congratulations to Lindsay Sears as she has successfully bred Martha's mother, Baby Blue Jeans to Nick. The baby will be a 3/4 sibling to Martha .DJ Nick Bar is just weeks away from returning to the rodeo scene as he had injuries all of this year. Thanks to Dr. Hays he should be better than ever! All of Nick's older colts have been sold; however, we have a great selection of weanlings for sale.Wishing everyone a Happy Fourth of July!!!

DENA KIRKPATRICK BARREL RACING CLINIC
The legendary barrel horse trainer Dena Kirkpatrick will be having a barrel racing clinic this summer in South Texas. Dena has trained such greats such as Willy Nick bar, Sugar Moon Express, DJ Nick Bar, As Good As Nick Gets, Scratchy Nick Bar, Sheza Shawnee Bug, and Lady Perks, etc. Dena has trained multiple NFR Qualifiers, NHSRA State and National Champions and NIRA National Champions, and Champion Futurity Horses. The clinic will be a two day clinic limited to 20 students. The dates and location will be posted soon. NICK BABIES HITTING THE GROUND.....

The babies are hitting the ground and they are very special . Color, comformation, disposition, and Uniformity from all types of bred mares. It doesn't matter what color the mare is or how she is bred, the colts are carrying strong characteristics of Nick such as pretty heads, big shoulders, short back,  low set hocks, and lots of color and chrome. This Nicks For You: my two year old out of an own daughter of On A High is currently being broke and doing great as we are excited about his future. Congratulations to WNFR qualifier Terra Bynum on her purchase of A Waspy Nick, a yearling out of Nick and own daughter of Coup De Kas. We have a nice selection of colts for sale and there will be pictures of them up within the next few days.

Sugar Moon Express aka "Martha" and Lindz were truly amazing at this year's NFR! Lindz and the awesome sorrel mare walked away from the Thomas and Mack with five go round wins and $119,254.00....

Nick's got a baby on the way!

Congrats to Grant Little of Canada, his standout mare LADY PERKS has a AS GOOD AS NICK GETS baby coming this spring via embryo transfer.
